No spark...?

Found a low mile '68 3/4 ton straight 6 powerglide for my son & im not getting spark. I took the coil out, put it in my '65 & it fired right up. So could it be the condenser? Will a spare condenser from my '65 283 work to see if that's the problem? Or is it a different condenser?
Thanks

Use a tester and see if your wires are getting power to the points

Re: No spark...?

Okay, I just put a test light grounded to neg on battery, got nothing till I turned key to on then got hot both sides of coil & at points. Should I try the condenser from my '65 V8?
