There has to be something better than this..

So yesterday I was installing LFD's gas pedal mod kit and I had to remove (ripping and tearing) the cardboard firewall insulation stuff to gain access to the work area. The old insulation blanket very deterioated and literally fell apart in my hands so it got me wondering, are you guys putting stuff like this back in your truck? I know all about the Dynamat stuff and jute padding so I was thinking about the Dynamat going down first, then that padded carboard stuff. Looking for better ideas.

What is everyone using on the firewall area to keep out heat and road noise?

Pics and/or part numbers welcomed!
