Quick frame swap question

Hey everyone. First of all I just want to say how good this website is and how much information and help everybody is. I've got a quick question will a 63 through 66 Suburban / carry-all swap onto a 71 to 72 Chevy C10 frame with not a lot of work. Got Fab skills so not worried about brackets or mounts just wondering if the basic size and wheelbase and shape of frame would fit underneath the Suburban. Or would i have to cut out the cab floor of the 71-72 and the bed floor and welded it into the floor of the Suburban. Ive got a clean 71-72 that i bought to do 5 lug disk and rear end swap into my 66 c20, but i might just keep it to use on suburban when i find one. Thanks for any info or help in advance.I love this place

Re: Quick frame swap question

The C10 and suburban frames are different, however you can swap over the front cross member (brakes spindles...etc) as well s the rear axle without any issues. Turning the burnb into a metal floor with that from you truck will require some thought and skills.

Re: Quick frame swap question

Thanks palf70step. Ive replaced complete floors on impalas, been body & painter for 20+ years. So the work isnt a problem. Mabye metal cab floor and wood back section for burb would be better? Just easier for me to hoist body in air remove & install new floor and drop down on frame lol
