hooker comps
I installed my hookers today.....nice fit! The collectors are tucked up nice, ground clearance will be no problem. I am running 90 degree boots that drop in the top,& have a ? on # 5 plug wire. are you guys routing from the bottom,or do you have a 135 degree boot in that position?.....69 longhorn

Yea, it dont look like that 90 will go ....without bein a french fry!I went to Oreileys, & got a cheap straight boot wire, but have a new set of Accel 300+ wires...all fit but that 1. Do you have any ideas on boots to convert my good wire, without buying another set?

I'd like to see how much ground clearance you have. Can you post or e-mail pics? Or measure from bottom of chassis rail. Thanks.

I dont have a digital cam,but the collectors hang 2 1/4" below the frame rails. I had been running a set of headmans,& they were roughly 4" below the rails(worst on the driver side). I have a 3/5 drop on my truck, with a 1 1/2" body drop......not slammed, but fairly low & no trouble with dragging parts.......69 longhorn.

Nearly two extra inches of clearance is worth having. That is with the Comps, not the Super Comps right? Do you have the part number so I get the right ones. Thanks again.

That is a hooker comp.# 2452 painted. $142.95 from jegs or summit. Can also be gotten with ceramic coating #2452-1, $320.95. The only issues that i had was on #5 plug wire,& today i picked up a single MSD straight boot wire.....69 longhorn.

Thanks, I have some pics of Super Comps from Mudder67, I think. They seem to hang too low. I'm going away for a few days so won't reply to this post again.
