Did you shed a tear?
I remember once when I sold one of my harleys and the transport company came to pick it up I made sure that I was not home and let my wife open the garage for them to roll it out as I had second and third thoughts after I sold it, since it was being shipped to Europe and it was sitting in my garage for about a month after it was paid for. I should not had sold it, but oh well

Re: 69 sold and headded for Co.
I sold my 72 blazer a little over a month ago to a board member. I was thinking of telling the transport guy "there she is" and then leaving so I wouldnt have to see her go. Well the transport driver (Obviously from Boston, due to his accent) wouldnt get close to my house because the ditches were too big. Maybe thats because it is not unheard of for us to get 6-10 inches of rain in a 24 hour period, with the record in my county bieng 41 inches of rain in a 24 hour period.
So anyway he makes me tow the truck (ran and drove but not roadworthy) five miles away down busy streets to meet him at a gas station. Then instead of getting to leave he makes me operate the controls on his trailer while he drives the truck up onto the top of the trailer. After all that I was feeling a little like "whatever, as long as its gone" by the time he let me leave the parking lot. |

Re: 69 sold and headded for Co.
Did a total frame fab and total build on my 34 coupe.Car turned out awesome. I sold it to a guy from arizona .He and his ma came to pick it up on a little trailer. I could not look as they pulled it down the driveway. I just turned around and walked back to my shop. It's amazing how empty my shop looked which is surprising, considering the fact that I NEVER have less than 3 projects going at once in there. Everytime I get rid of an old car,,,I feel like I just lost an old friend.

Well, guess it's on to bigger and better projects.
That fast wrap is pretty cool looking on the front of the truck.
