Wheel and tire question

Hoping you guys can make this pretty painless...
My 1960 swb has a 63 front end under it, stock rear end, 6 lug all around w no disc brakes. I'm lowering it 3/5 next week, and then it will be time for a wheel and tire change as the 295 series that are on it now would rub. I'm wanting to go with a smoothie style wheel, either all blacked out or w chrome trim and baby moons with some white walls. Places like jegs and summit have the wheels priced pretty decent, I'm just unsure as to what rear spacing to have on the wheels say on a 15x7 or 15x8? Also, what tire sizes do you think would go best with these wheel sizes? These wheels should have no problem working right, as long as I choose the right backspacing and get them in 6x5? Thanks again, and any pictures relating to the topic would be greatly appreciated!
