Torque Converter question
I'm currently having my th350 rebuilt and I starred to think about torque converters. I recently swapped out the trucks original 305 for a 350 with around 270 hp and 350 ft lbs of torque. Since I'm having the transmission rebuilt Im thinking I might as well get a new converter. The truck has 2.73 gears. I want something that will give me a little quick punch off the stoplight than I'm currently getting. http://www.speedwaymotors.com/1968-8...all,35425.html . That's what I have in mind but I'm open to everything. Thanks

Re: Torque Converter question
How much does your truck weigh and how tall are your tires?
Have you driven the truck with the new 350 and the factory torque converter or did you swap in the new engine and are having the transmission rebuilt at the same time? I'm sure that converter will be better than stock but I'm not sure by how much since you have pretty tall gears.
