Turn signal switch/ van tilt

I need a new one. Where can i get a new one. O'rielly's only show non tilt parts. Does one out of the same year truck work, or does it have to be for a van? It is out of a 76 van. Thanks

Re: Turn signal switch/ van tilt

any parts store SHOULD be able to get it. it should be the same as the truck piece. You can try asking for an 1980 van with tilt and see if it comes up.
Or a better parts store maybe

Re: Turn signal switch/ van tilt

Daren... Andy is right. I went online to Oreilly Auto and was able to locate turn signal switches w/o any issues. I wasn't sure what a van was classified as (P10, G10, etc), so I selected '76 P10 and located some switches and then selected '80 and come up with some others.

I hope this helps...

Re: Turn signal switch/ van tilt

You may want to stay with a tilt turn signal switch as the non tilt switches are different. The mounting screws are not the same length, the tilt has a light mounted on it for the shift indicator, and the tilt has a screw in hazard knob in place of the one piece setup that the non tilts have.

It may be possible to modify the switch so it will interchange but I have not tried it.
