68 One Ton Dually, disc brakes?

I bought a 68 dually today and my brother picked it up outside of Springfield, Mo for me. I'll be headed to MO next weekend to bring it home. I don't know much about it yet other than it doesn't have much rust and the body is very straight. I've had a 67, 68 & 70, but they were all half tons, this is my first one ton of this body style. It has power brakes and power steering. Also come to find out it has disc brakes on the front. Those aren't original are they? Could the power brakes and power steering be original?

They did come with power brakes and steering. Brakes had a vacuum booster or a hydrovac unit from Midland depending on engine and rear end.
drum brakes on front

Thanks. It has vacuum power brakes. I have a hydro boost unit that will be swapped in when I get started on the Cummins swap. I didn't think the fronts would be discs from the factory.

sounds like someone did the hard part for you by retrofitting the disc brakes. my 72 burb 3/4 ton has very powerful brakes right from the factory.

Yes, I'm glad that part is out of the way. It's not tough to swap discs, but I'm glad I don't have to mess with it this time. This way I can move right on to the drive train, body work, etc... I wonder how difficult it will be to locate a two speed rear end?
