been doing some research into one piece windows. seems some people have problems getting them to operate correctly.
So it leads me to wonder how many of you guys are using the one piece windows?

My 71 swb has one piece windows. The glass is lamenated and we custom cut them. I don't remember what power window kit was used because this was done in 1991. I have to help the windows up, but they track just fine.
I think the glass is too heavy and has worn out the motors. The mirrors are sport mirrors for a 88 and up chevrolet pickup. We made a custom bracket to attach them to.

I have them and love the clean look... I dont like that tey do not fit really tight though and kinda rattle around depending on where they are positioned.

I have them in my truck. While I would say they are not a perfect bolt in kit, I did take my time with my windows and was able to get them to work really well. I do agree that the tracks could be tighter so the windows would have less wiggle room...

Hum.. I haven't had any issues with mine at all. They fit just tight enough and no wind noise, they roll up and down perfect and don't rattle at all regardless of how far down the window is.

thanks for the response so far guys. It's a tough call for me right now, my wing windows need a lot of attention and I don't know if I want to spend money on them or put it towards one piecers.

What you do in this situation, do a one piece on one side and leave the other, whichever you like best stays......

I got mine from brothers as well when they had a sale. When you start pricing out all the rubber for the door, it's not that much more for the kit.

Did you go with the Brother's type or the the one without the small triangle peice?

I'm really tempted to go with the one without. I have Vintage Air so I don't see my windows partially down that much but I have replacement doors..

I have the brother's kit with the small triangle.

I would love to hear from any of the guys that got the kit without the triangle. I know some got them, but have not put them on yet...

I'd like to hear about how the no triangle window works and how it's installed. Having mine apart and installing the brothers kit, I'd like to know how they ran the front channel without completely removing the door stop and hinge bolts.

We have them. We got the kit from Brothers. I probably wouldn't do it again.

Ive got the Brothers kit. I installed them w/ new regulators and they work good. When theyre just barely rolled down there alot of in and out play in the glass but I drive with the windows all the way up or down so it hasnt become a issue. Also, I modified the door check according to the instructions but they still keep getting caught on the front run channel so I modified them a bit more and they worked fine. All in all I like them.
