rain leak at cowl
1st time driving my truck in the rain the other day and noticed there are two 1/4" holes by the lower windshield lip, underneath the dash trim, one near each corner. The wind from the cowl area was forcing rain water out these two holes, into the cab. Should these holes be there? Should they have plugs? What is their purpose?

Re: rain leak at cowl
Yes the holes belong there. They are drains for the inside of the windshield to remove condensed water that would run down the inside of glass in super moist conditions. I.E. fogged windshield.
Todays cure is running the A/C with the heat. This dries the air and thus no fogged windshield. Seeing how your getting rain water in there , that says to me that your windshield weather strip is leaking. Most likely between the glass and weather strip . The fix is to head to the glass shop and have them inject sealer between the glass and weather strip. The other possibility is the weather strip is not fully seated to the body.

Re: rain leak at cowl
I noticed the weather strip is definitely leaking. New glass and weather strip. I'll try the glue fix first. Thanks
