whats a rebuilt 366 worth?

auto yard over here just got in a wrecked bus with a rebuilt low mile 366.is there any value in it?he says he wants 1000 for it.seems high?????

How many miles on it? Are you talking about a school bus? Most busses have a lot of miles-stop and go miles-the worse kind of miles. IMO Too much!

yea i dont need it,he also have a 454 tbi engine and 4l80 he pulled from a burnt motor home.i think the engine got wet and he wants $2000 for it.uggg but i can get a complete 350 builder for $200 from him all day long

The only things good on a 366 is the steele crank and the closed chamber heads. I put both in my 402 and made a big difference in compression and les flex in the motor at higher r's.
