Most of the short fleets that are nice go in the 800-1000 range. That one looks really nice even with a dent. If you bought all new I am sure you would be in the 2000.00 range and it still would not be as good as an original in my book. If you had a truck in that color that you wanted to go to a short bed or had a damged one in that color it would be a great deal.

I just talked to Bill at Vintage Chevy. It's a funny story, he knew about that bed but did not know it was for sale. He said he missed it by about 5 minutes.

Ive been a member of this board for six years now. Back then you could get a pretty decent short box for somewhere between four and seven hundred bux. Now its more than double that. To me thats just crazy, but I also realize its supply and demand. Sad.

i know what you mean, back when i bought my '69 short 4x4 it was an original stepside and since i'm not a big stepper fan i swapped the bed straight across for a really nice short fleet. the person i traded with thought he got the better end of the deal and was happy as a pig in mud.

$1300? Damn, I just paid $500 for a *****IN' short fleeet bed in So. Cal. from a board member here. Either I got a great deal or someone's on CRACK. You can buy the whole bed kit new $1700 new from LMC Truck bot not steel floor.
