Center Line Wheels - Worth Anything?
When I bought my truck, it has a set of Centerline Scorpion wheels on it. They are straight out of the 90's. They've been sitting in the shop for a while now collecting dust. They have a set of practically new Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires on them with little use.
Are they worth anything? |

Re: Center Line Wheels - Worth Anything?
I'm going to say "no" BUT Centerline went out of business earlier this year so eventually I anticipate some desirability in Centerline rims.

Re: Center Line Wheels - Worth Anything?
Im not a fan of those particular centerlines, but everything has value to somebody. I think you meant high value for vintage or nostalgic purposes? Probably not old enough for that and value is ultimately related to popularity/rarity in most cases.

Re: Center Line Wheels - Worth Anything?
Heck yes they are worth something. Straight out of the '90s is better than about anything out of this century. It is a truck out of the '70s after all. If I had a penny for every aluminum slot tossed to install '80s saw blades or Outlaw IIs, only for people to realize they should have kept the slots I'd be a rich man. Vintage speed equipment goes for more than when new. The out with the old/in with the new mentality causes a lot of regret as the years go by. I'm just glad my tastes are stable, I know what I like . I never went for wheels like those because I continued to prefer wide steelies, slots, and turbines on my trucks. Still, I'd buy those before the new crap that's out. All the people who did go for them will want them at some point. I guarantee.
I think your truck looks awesome with those wheels

Re: Center Line Wheels - Worth Anything?
Best answer. And just my personal preference turn those white letters in when you get them mounted on your new ralleys =)

Re: Center Line Wheels - Worth Anything?
Thanks all! I thought about tossing them up on Craigslist to see if I get any bites. I'm not looking to make a bunch of money on them, just curious if there were worth the time to try to sell. These are in decent shape.
I appreciate all of the insight. Here are the wheels I am running now. |

Re: Center Line Wheels - Worth Anything?
Most folks don't know a lot about Centerline Wheels, it's a shame they went under, hope they make a comeback!
They do (or did) make differently engineered types of wheels. The good higher performance type wheels were well thought out. Depending on which type of wheel. The rim halves were cold formed, welded, heat treated, then machined. I may not be exactly precise on wording or order, but they were way ahead of their time. Their wheels were fairly light and very strong. Not two things that usually go together when designing wheels. I'm sure they were not able to compete with offshore stuff. They are darn well worth what they sold for. Sell those wheels if you want. I like them!!! |

Re: Center Line Wheels - Worth Anything?
I like the new wheels a lot better. For some reason they make me want to eat beef.

Re: Center Line Wheels - Worth Anything?
I actually had a set of those Centerline Scorpions back in the... 90's! On a '92 C1500 - and I ran the same tires too!

Re: Center Line Wheels - Worth Anything?
Man that's a shame they went under. I have a brand new set of the Champ 500 with knock off's. Think I bought them in the late 80's early 90's never mounted.

Re: Center Line Wheels - Worth Anything?
These are genuine fully polished with knock offs. They are Chevy car pattern. Think I’m going to hang on to them a little longer.

Man they are buried in my storage unit right now. If you gooogle the wheel I’m sure they will come up polished version.
