FS - Restored Chevrolet Tailgate

Restored Chevrolet tailgate for sale. I started with a rust-free original that I purchased last fall. It was split open, sandblasted inside and out, sealed inside then re-assembled and finished. We shot it with a black base/clear and polished it to show how straight it is (and it is as straight as it looks).

I will be travelling on the weekend of April 4th from Canada through Yakima and Bend on my way to Redding, California. If someone is interested and lives somewhere close to this route, we could probably arrange a "hand-off".

This is a real nice gate and is worth the money for someone in the process of building a truck. A quick scuff with 400 and it would be ready for your desired color (or, build a super nice black truck around it) .

SOLD PENDING PAYMENT!

I'll get some pics tonight... We made sure it was real straight and then we blocked the he!! out of it. There are quite a few "nice" taligate out there but I wanted this one to stand out and be better than new. It would definitely look good on a "show quality" truck.

Re: FS - Restored Chevrolet Tailgate

Just out of curiousity, why are you selling such a nice gate?

I was going to use it on my 68 to replace the non-lettered gate but it turned out too nice. It deserves to be on a much nicer truck than the one it was intended for so I decided to sell it. If it doesn't go, I will probably keep it and start restoring some other parts to go with it. If I get enough pieces together, I might have to put them together and make a truck out of them.

Grapdawg, I still have to get some pics as promised. I'm heading out of town for the weekend so I'll have to try to get out early next week and snap a few.

Wish I had the dough, but my truck doesn't deserve it either
