Where to Buy Vacuum Control Switch

Anyone know where I can buy a vacuum control switch that attaches to the rear of an a/c heater control assembly? And also, the little round clips that connect the sliders to the levers? Thanks.

Re: Where to Buy Vacuum Control Switch

Do I have to buy the complete a/c assembly just to get the vacuum switch?

Go to a pick n pull yard. I see A/C controls there all the time. You can pull this switch off of one.

Thanks for the suggestion Zepp. Not many good pick n pulls where I'm from though. I was hoping to find a vendor that sells them. Guess, I'm outta luck.

Call GmcPaul, Pickmup (Frank) 360-956-7170 or (Wes) Classicheartbeat 888-338-2502 and ask one of these guys where to find one. One of them is bound to know.

Re: Where to Buy Vacuum Control Switch

I will do some searching for you and see if I can find you one. You may have to buy a used one and hope it works or buy a whole used unit with a broken leaver cheap and get one that way. You can find them on ebay. I will look and see if I have one but it will be a few days, I am on 12 hr. nights for the next few nights.

Re: Where to Buy Vacuum Control Switch

What's wrong with mine is it's missing! I recently converted my non a/c truck to stock a/c and the control unit I bought was missing one. If you can find one, that would help me out a ton, since it appears they are not sold separately.

Re: Where to Buy Vacuum Control Switch

Coop-I have what you need and will send it to you, just shoot me an address.

I tried to take a few pictures but the camera( or operator) just can't focus for what is needed. I have included the little screws that hold it in place. The only thing you will need to make everything complete is a plastic "collar" that goes on the pin that rests in the grove on the control arm. The pin is on the backside of the valve(opposite the side with the part number in your picture) and I made one for my truck out of something I had in my junkbox. The "collar" or plastic sleeve takes up the slack from the pin to the groove in the control arm so make it just tight enough for everything to move freely-lube with white grease. Hope it helps! Steve
