Question Looking for a gas tank for a 66 panel?

Are these hard to come by?

Yep, hard to find, many use plastic tank from GMCPaul's, I took tank from GM sunbird, had to beat on it a bit to fit, used pu from chevyvan with electric pump, used return line for main fuel, with shorter pickup, when I run out, I switch lines with valve, hit button on dash to kick in pumo in tank to prime, have another 1-1/2" of gas! What's your truck like?

Slick instrument cluster! What are the guages from?

I hate chasing down stock fuel tanks - big PITA. I put a brand new (jobber) 73-91 Blazer tank in my shortbox 4x4. 31-gallons. I can actually pass a gas station now!

You can have them repaired/relined too. I had this done to the in-cab tank on my 66 C10. They soldered a patch on the hole, and sealed the inside with a red coating. I was warned not to run fuel with any methanol additives since it would dissolve the liner.

Cost me $150 CDN.

Knowing what I know now, I'd have put some other tank in instead.

Guage panel from photo above is from 2 blazers, blazer has 2 big holes, not three; this way I get tach, speedo, and clock. It is eaxy to cut the plastic guage box and cut the metal bezels and join 2 together. I soldered patch wires between sections of the printed circut boards together, just scraped off the plastic coating to get to the copper.
