SANFORD build thread
here is my current project, wife and son gave it the nickname,I will try to get caught up on pics.this is when I bought it.I had no intentions of doing any thing with it but use it for parts.I thought at some point I would have done another stepside but when I started looking on this site I saw the gasser influenced truck that Hardwaa built and it really messed me up,I love the look of that truck.Mine will be similar. Thanks for looking and I will try to keep things updated as I go.

Re: SANFORD build thread
I decided to use this bed as the original had rust along the factory seam.I cut this one down to make a short bed.I know there is a little difference on the wheel opening but I will address that later once I can see it on the ground.

Re: SANFORD build thread
this is the the rearend setup.got the notches finished,I cut 6 1/2 inches out of the rearend to get the tire clearance I wanted.I still have to mount the lower air bag mounts once I figure out what pinion angle I need.

Re: SANFORD build thread
I agree, very nice work
So it looks like you retained the stock housing ends when you narrowed the differential housing? Did you have shorter C-clip axles made?

Re: SANFORD build thread
Thanks guys for the replies,I did re-use the stock housing ends.I cut and re-welded my stock axles to use during mock-up of all my parts.Once I have everything finalized I will order a set of c-clip axles from Moser.Thanks.

Re: SANFORD build thread
hemifalcon, The wheels were on an old frame when I got it,I think they are a standard chevy 5 lug wheel. They measure 15x8 with a 3.750 backspace. The caps I got at a swap meet, I think they are for a first Gen camaro or Nova of that year. I have a set of American Racing TTO's ordered but they have not gotten here yet.

Re: SANFORD build thread
Small update guys, getting the air bags mounted.I moved my LCA arms forward .750 to gain caster and found out that I had to move the airbags foward to keep the bags centered in the LCA.This was an unexpected surprise.I had to modify the upper bag plates.

Re: SANFORD build thread
I don't have a lot of pics of every thing cleaned and painted so I thought I would post something a little easier on the eyes,I got the new gen 4 vintage air surefit A/C kit,got it from Way2Lo2(Boris).I would definitely recomend him if you need something. Also finally got rear American Racing TTO wheels for the rear, took about two months to get them but they are here now.well that is all I have for now and thanks for looking.

Re: SANFORD build thread
Thanks Dino,Your trucks are crazy as well,I really like the Pro-Street truck.I must say that I am envious of some of the trucks I see from the west coast,It is hard to find a fairly rust free truck around here without spending a fortune on it.I look forward to your new builds.
