Buckets finished
They were in much worse shape than I expected when the PO`s covers came off so I had to add a little here and there. Overall I am happy with the outcome. I highly recommend using cable ties in addition to "hog rings" as it really helps getting it tight.

Great job!
Absolutely awesome job on your seats.
I’m curious (just starting this job myself) if the replacement seat covers have stiff wire installed around the inserts, and if so, did you use the cable ties fastened to these wires to pull the upholstery back tightly into the foams? Did you re-use the wire ties that were originally used for this purpose?

Wow, looks sharp. What color is your truck?
I saw them install seat covers on one of the auto shows on TV. They used silicone spray over the foam to help slide the cover's down over the backs. The front seats in my '72 don't have the original vinal pattern on them so I'd like to replace that this summer. Hopefully, I can do as good a job as you have.

I just puntured a small hole through the cover and material just above the seam for the cable ties and pulled it tight. It worked very well. Bouncy, my blazer is red.
