"Unique" Power Steering Pressure Line
I've searched a ton of threads and websites on this but haven't found this exact PS pressure line. the sharp bend goes directly into the pump. This is from a '70 C10 custom 350cid/TH350 SWB. I have assumed the PS is factory as everything is ACDelco or GM. Has anyone seen one like this? None of the usual local and online retailers show this version. I'm looking for a local shop to make one for me but havent found one yet.
Thanks for any input! |

Re: "Unique" Power Steering Pressure Line
It's been a while but it looks like the one I took off mine. I've since converted to hydroboost brakes so my lines are all custom now.

Try Car Quest P/N 35525, fitment '74 K10. Based on pics looks close. That's what I'm using on my '70 K20 but I have a serp belt setup.

Re: "Unique" Power Steering Pressure Line
Yeah, if it's a 2WD half-ton. Not so much for 4WD, even less for HD trucks. RightStuff detailing has a good selection too, so if one doesn't have it, try the other!

Re: "Unique" Power Steering Pressure Line
Go to Parker Hannifin and look up your local purveyor. http://www.parker.com/portal/site/PA...D&vgnextfmt=EN
They should be a good place to start. Tractor and farm/construction implement dealers would know who the good hydraulic hose guys in the area are.

Re: "Unique" Power Steering Pressure Line
Glad it worked out. Off the subject but, I'm deciding on color right now, I really like your bronze/ white.

I bought the truck about a year ago and chose this combination specifically because it wasn’t hugger orange or mediterranean blue. I didn’t see many medium bronze. Let me know if you need the paint code. Thanks again. |

Re: "Unique" Power Steering Pressure Line
Update: Unfortunately, an exact fit PS pressure hose for my truck does not exist. At least as far as I can search the internet. And the only place I've found (I looked everywhere) that will make a stock replacement automotive hose wanted $125 to make it. Looks like I will have a custom hose made but it will not look stock or I can stick with the "almost fits" set up I have now.
Thanks to everyone that offered up help! |

Re: "Unique" Power Steering Pressure Line
If the steel tubing and inverted flare fittings are OK I would think a hydraulic hose outfit, Parker-Hannifin or ..., should be able to crimp a new section of high pressure rubber power steering hose onto the old steel tubes for a lot less than $125.

Re: "Unique" Power Steering Pressure Line
OK, I'm going to give this one last try. Does anyone have a picture of how the pressure line routes into the rear of the pump? The only thing I can figure is that my current line is not correct for my application but fits because of the way its routed. Any new line will not rout in the same way so I'm trying to determine the factory correct routing.
It's a tough area to just snap a picture so maybe someone has a photo from a previous build? Thanks! |

I went through the same thing with my 72 big block truck. not sure if this is the same setup as yours. I had my new line custom made at a local shop. I can get the part numbers on the fittings if necessary. Here is how it was when I got the truck. |
