Re: Just wanted to share

Ok, I want to thank you all for the positive feedback. It's nice to see I'm going in a good direction.
It's a 1969 I got it out of texas and the first thing I did to it was install an air ride system with the help of my brother. It is an air lift system called the 3p system. I'm not sold on it, it is a little glitch. Then I replaced the seat from utility buckets to a bench seat out of a 78 dodge ramcharger. ( my wife wanted to seat closer). Then I replaced the turbo 350 to a 700r4. (Wanted overdrive) and just recently again with the help of my brother, installed the rag top. The top is from legucy and it is 48x102 comes in a good selection of colors. It took us 2 days ( with no hurry ) just recommend, measure once measure twice and then measure again. The engine now is a 305 runs great but I'm going to replace it with a lt1. Also going to install 67 lower body trim, then paint, white top, white bottom ( under lower trim ) and gold in the middle. That's it for now and thanks again.

That ragtop is rad. The rest of the panel looks sexy as well. Keep up the amazing work.

Re: Just wanted to share

I’m not sure. I wonder if something done in the style of the ragtop VW buses. It’s just a perforated vinyl.

Re: Just wanted to share

Got a little more to share, so installed 67-68 lower trim and some bumper guards . I'm going to paint it in the spring, 2 tone off white / med olive and going to start on a 92 lt1 I have. Get it ready to install, then focus on interior. If anyone has a color idea let me know, I like unique colors. Thanks

Re: Just wanted to share

Did you remove the wood floor and bed strips to finish them or did you do it with them already installed?

Re: Just wanted to share

Thank you all, the bed floor is actually 2 sheets of oak 3/4 plywood that was stained by previous owner. I'm thinking about removing it, doing a larger c- notch and putting something else in place. Not sire yet, but that plywood rubs on each other and makes some noise.

Looks good for sure. As for the wood noise, sprinkle some talcum powder in the joints.

Re: Just wanted to share

Looking really nice, it's got that cool beach cruiser vibe.
On a nice sunny day, park it near the beach with the water in the background, walk away and return, it should tell you what color it wants to be. Lol
