Seat information

Guys there is a seat for a 69 for sale locally that is real nice but it does not fold. I need that option to be able to service all my air ride stuff that is where my tank was in my 65. Can these be made to fold like my 65 seat?
Thanks
Jimmy

Re: Seat information

Do any of the bench seats fold? I can't get the one in my truck to fold, so I don't think they do.

That's what I don't know. All my pre 67 trucks have.

Re: Seat information

Can it be trimmed back or a slight mod to the cover prevent that. I may just go get it and see what can be done.

Re: Seat information

The seat in my 68 GMC folds down from the back. They must have changed them in 69.

Re: Seat information

My '67 bench folds forward so that you can get behind the seat and stuff. Probably only about 35-45 degrees though (not all the way forward).

There is a metal arm on both sides of the seat that holds the back to the bottom. There are two large screws where the arm fastens to the seat bottom. You should be able to just remove the back screw on each side.
