Where to cut front springs?

I borrowed this pic from RandyC10

Can anybody use photoshop or a paint program and tell me where to cut on these stock springs to get a 2 inch drop?

You have to cut exactly 1 coil from the spring because it sits in a pocket in the upper mount. So cut it directly below where the spring starts. I know it doesn't look like it will be 2 inches but trust me it will be at least that when they are mounted with the front end weight on them. Dont even be tempted to cut 2 coils. You will be buying another set if you do. Sorry I didnt have a photo available.

Should have said lower control arm. Must have been the muscle relaxers Forgot I had to turn the spring over to cut it.

I've heard some people say that it gives 3-4 inches. I just want to make sure they are still usable after I cut them.

This is a picture of my sons truck with 2 1/2 drop spindles and 1 coil cut out. I am guessing 4 to 5 inch drop total.
