LWB bed on a 3500 cab and chassis

Bought a 88 3500 commercial dually truck with a huge utility bed on it. Sold the utility bed and want to make it a pickup.

Did some measuring and the wheels look like they would only stick out a little.

Has anybody put on a regular pickup bed on a commercial dually cab and chassis?
Pix?

Thanks,
Steve

does the truck have dual rear wheels, if so, you may have trouble with the wheel wells not being wide enough

yes it does but not like a factory dually pickup.
They only seem to be about 3 inches per side wider. I was thinking of using flexible rubber flares.

Re: LWB bed on a 3500 cab and chassis

So is that one of those narrow-dually trucks? As in, if you compare it to a regular dually truck, yours ain't anywhere near as wide in the rear? Those require wider wheel tubs in the bed, for the outside you can use some offroad fender flares and it will work good, but tis the inboard wheels that will mess you up. Still tho, nothing a torch/sawzall and a welder can't take care of.

What Ivan said... You are going to have to modify the inner tub for full travel...
