Exhaust Smell ???

Every time I drive my burb, I smell exhaust. If just the drivers side window is down I smell it. Both front windows down, I don't. I've gone through everything and can't find a leak, headers, header flanges, etc. I don't smell it when I'm at a stand still idling. So...I've come to the conclusion that it's the fact that I ran the new exhaust pipes straight out the back, right beneath the rear bumper, and that the exhaust is coming in through the not very well sealed back hatch.

Have any of you experienced this? Any other ideas? Just like to see what the experts might have to say before I cut the pipes and put some turndowns or 45 deg turns out to the side (would that help?). Thanks in advance for any input.
