Headlight switch change

I'm getting ready to change out my headlight switch, any suggestions on the easiest route, or tricks to make it easier. Things to watchout for? BTW I already know how to get the knob out(button). Pull dash panel out? Go from underneath? Thanks for any suggestions.

Re: Headlight switch change

The knob button is the main thing. Pull the dash panel, unplug the harness, unscrew the switch. Pretty simple. Might be able to be done without pulling the dash panel, I never tried that way though.

You can get it out without pulling the instrument cluster. I just did mine yesterday. Just unhook the battery, remove the switch knob, unscrew the chrome bezel, remove the nut under the chrome bezel (5/8 socket),there will be a threaded piece that comes out with the nut, pull the switch out from the back and unplug the wire loom... Reverse the procedure to install the new one.

p.s. I remove the chrome bezel with a pair of needle nose pliers... Just stick the ends in the two holes.
