Holly carb problem
Hey Guys, Need some info.on a holly carb.Ijust installed a built 327 in my 68,the old motor with eldebrock carb ran good.any way,my problem is the holly will not feed gas into motor to start motor.i pour gas in it it fires right up and runs.i have a clear sight glass in line,noticed fuel leaking back down when shut it down.does the carb have a bad pump or is the fuel pump my problem? Any info will help. Thanks Bobby

check the pressure on your fuel pump first

take fuel line off carb// place in a container turn engine over// factory spec is about 1 pint pumped at cranking speed in 30-45seconds

Sounds like fuel pump leaking down

Wouldn't be the carb...maybe the fuel filter is backwards...or the pump isn't good...
Take the fuel line off the carb and turn it over...^

Hey , Thanks for the replys guys.going to get my headers hooked back to exhaust system tomorrow,a little noisey to say the least.then i will get on fuel problem. Bobby
