Big block Chevy build

I have been reading as many threads as I can on this subject all over the web but I wanted to throw some numbers out before I start the plunge this weekend for final assembly.

I have done small block bottom ends but never anything far from stock or a big block for that matter (well its about time )

What I have:
1974 BBC bored .30 over
Forged Rods - http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SCA-26135
Forged pistons - http://www.summitracing.com/parts/PBP-P4963F-030
stock crank .020 over and balanced
Piston rings - http://www.summitracing.com/parts/slp-r9590035

The end goal is to have a shot of NOS so keep that in mind as well

Now to my questions I have been reading up on recommended crank end play and connecting rod side clearance and am finding tons of mixed reviews on the subject and at the same time all of them are for small blocks is this information usable for my big block or do I need to follow a separate set of rules on this?

Top ring gap of .022
Bottom ring gap of .025
Bearing clearance of .0020-.0025
Rod side clearance between .004-.025 I'm seeing is called "okay" I'm really wondering on this number though
Crank end play on an application like mine of no less then .006 but I cannot find how much is to much on this I obviously don't want my crank walking around

Hopefully someone with experience on this can help me out here before I have a heart attack or go insane from reading so many articles and threads with conflicting views.
