What is 'SPOT LP.' in the fuse box
The fuse is for the GL BOX (glove box) and SPOT LP, but I don't know what SPOT LP means.

"LP" is "lamp" abbreviated. You don't have a spot lamp on your truck, do you?

I'm guessing, because a spot lamp would require a pretty big fuse, I think.

Spot Lamp would be a ''Cop Spot'' -- controlled by a handle inside the cab. Unity of Chicago still makes them. The fitting for the 67/72 GM Drivers side A Pillar is their p/n # 202.
They now offer LED innerds for these spots, so the amp draw will be a lot less. But I like the 'color' of the incandescent originals.

Feelin' great. Waiting for some paychecks to clear. Biggest gripe is the '71 GMC has been stuck with a bad starter for a couple of months. Work getting in the way. A good friend who helped attach the '68 Stepside's Prop Shaft, isn't available now. His wife just had a baby. So I guess he'll be busy for the next 21 years.
The Jimmy got home to my front driveway -- which is sloped -- but stalled before I could get to the crest where it is level. One thought would be to pop start it in reverse, but since it's been cold for over 60 days, I'd have to prime the carb with ether before attempting that stunt. Complications are: Power Steering is INOP without engine turning, and falling back out of the driveway would require a sharp reverse to starboard, then snap to port into an intersection, that may have opposing traffic that I'm blind to. So I'd need accomplices to scout the street, and stop traffic if necessary. Other option is the Truck Rodeo: Hook a 10' chain from the back hitch of the Stepside to the front frame of theJimmy [no tow hooks] and tow it forward out of the front driveway, then turn 90* into the spot under the 10'x20' canopy structue. Level ground. Sun protected, but dirt floor. Beyond that 3 or 4 guys could push it 40 feet further, onto the concrete floor of the Carport. Then the truck could get jacked up onto jackstands. To get to the Starter, the Header on the Passenger Side has to come off. Headers need new exhaust gaskets anyway. Also wanted to paint them with white stove paint. And last time we worked on headers, we forgot to attach the Dipstick Bracket. Bigger project than it seemed at first. Meanwhile, I'm learning the quirks of the '03 'Hoe, and the '68 Stepside runs great, if doglegged, since I can't find a local frameshop.
