Where can I find the outer grill screw clips?
OK, the 8 little "j nuts" (I think that's the term), the little clips that allow 4 screws to told the headlight bezel onto the outer grill.....where can I find those?
Also, there are three other "J nuts/clips" that allow the grill support bracket to attach to the outer and inner grill. Is there a set I can order? I don't have these in my "front end bolt kit" from Classic Industries. Is this a time for me to actually hit up the hardware stores and look around? |

I know automotive paint supply houses usually carry all the body fasteners and such. Do you have one in a town near you?

Not that I know of man. Thanks for the suggestion though.
I've decided to try Lowe's and Tractor Supply tonight. As soon as my wash is dry I'm going out. I might give NAPA a shot also. I'll take my originals with me and my bolts. |

Re: Where can I find the outer grill screw clips?
I went out yesterday evening and I bought a couple of clips from Tractor Supply and Lowes but I am not really happy with either. I may take those back. I think I'll use my original clips, I derusted those and spray painted, they should work OK I think. Mine are very pitted though.

They're called J nuts. They come in different screw sizes and depth. You should be able to match them to your old ones.

Re: Where can I find the outer grill screw clips?
Thanks man. A friend and I actually started putting the grill onto the truck yesterday, using mostly my original clips.
I think they'll hold up. I would like to get new bolts for the hood latch assembly, those are 12 point bolts. Anyone know of where to get those? |
