Will a 91 Suburban 40 gallon tank fit under a 67 SWB C10?
I’m finally able to turn my attention back to my 67, after it sat since the timing chain jumped early last year.
I put a 31 gallon tank under my 70 2wd K5, and was going to do a 31 gallon for my 67 2wd swb. The guy that did the 31 gallon had to notch the trailing edge to clear the Blazer frame. I think a 31 gallon would go into the 67 without having to notch it. If it could fit without surgery, I would prefer the extra capacity of the 40 gallon tank. My truck is at stock height. Someone did it years ago here, but it was a lwb truck. I remember they had tomodify something to clear the rear diff pumpkin so I don't think it would fit. I'm planning on the 31 or 40 gallon for my lwb as replacement to the second tank I had inside the bed under the tool box.

Thank you for the information. I’ll keep it simple with the 31 gallon tank.

Put a 31 gallon Blazer tank in my SWB 72 K10. Tight fit especially with going to the larger 8 lug axles. Installation starts at post #99 in my build thread. Notable items- Used the front and rear crossmembers from a 90's Blazer for stock type mounting with straps. Rear of frame is extended about 3.5" Which allowed tank to be moved back. Full bump location is 3"+ lower than stock not allowing axle to get as close to truck. If the 40 gallon is longer front to back, making it work in my truck would be very difficult.

Re: Will a 91 Suburban 40 gallon tank fit under a 67 SWB C10?
25 Gallon measures: 28-3/4" x 28-1/8" x 10-3/4"
31 Gallon measures: 28-3/4" x 28-1/8" x 12-3/4" 40 Gallon measures: 35" x 28-3/4" x 13-1/8" Also is ur's a leaf or coil spring rearend? Most I have seen being done are leaf. I am still planning since I have a 2wd coil spring rear which changes things a bit too.

Thank you Richard, it was a fair amount of work to get it to fit our 2wd K5. I was hoping the SWP would allow for the 40 Gal tank.
Palf 70Step, thank you for the dimensions. I had trouble finding them for the 40 Gal tank This pic shows how the tank needs modded to fit a 2wd K5 with coils springs. https://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-...fX4HgWZ-X2.jpg
