Can I swap the rear end gears?
I have a 3.73 rear end in my 69 GMC, with leaf springs, 5 lug.
A friend has a 3.08 rear end in his 1970 6 lug with leaf springs. Both are 12 bolt. Can we just swap out the gears, and still run my 5 lug axles, or is this a much more complicated job? Trying to get lots less RPMs on the freeway......... Thanks, Dave
