71 Low Budget GMC Project

We'll I have gotten started on my project but still don't have it at the house. At least its under a "Big Shade Tree".

Attached Pics are before I started.... I know how we all like pics. I will post more later this week when I get her home.

What are my chances of finding a Right Front Fender and a Drivers Door in the original Dark Olive and White Two Tone? I want to keep that patina... at least till I can afford to paint it. I'll need a front bumper and a Steering Wheel also... and lots of other You guys got anything laying around?

Terrific Forum Here you all! I am.... well... addicted to it!!!
Seems like a great bunch of Classic Truck Enthusiasts just helping each other out.
Thanks in Advance!
Jeff

Re: 71 Low Budget GMC Project

Thanks Eric!
It was a good find! $300.00 North Georgia truck with a little rust. Quarter Size hole in Drivers Rocker, Cab Corners have a bit too. Bed is Solid, Floors are Solid. Just A low budget project driver. The Engine and Tranny are out of truck due to an engine thrust bearing issue. Trans was rebuilt by AMMCO in 2004. (Have Documents...) Been sitting since late 2005. I am wondering if an issue with the Torque Converter caused the Trust Bearing to fail? Anyone... chime in? Can someone check the Converter to see if it caused the problem?
Advice? Comments? always welcome...
Looking forward to getting her on the road.

Thanks! Jeff
