Just a FYI. If your going for a 2" drop most likely your worn out springs are already sitting 1" or more lower then stock. I put a 2/4 drop on my truck and it actually lowered it 1/2"/2 1/2". That was using Bell Tech springs on my 66

I have, or can get them in what ever size you want for 100.00 front or rear (but I run out pretty fast, so I may need to order them in)

Is there such thing as an extra firm lowering spring?

not that I have heard of, all springs will collapse to a preset hieght. maybe the bump stops are hitting or the shocks are bottoming out to create the "firm" feeling (I almost hate writing that due to how it sounds)

Progressive rate springs get stiffer when more weight is applied to them like in hard cornering, hole shots or using your truck as a truck. We sell Eibach lowering coils and TRW or MOOG stock coils in our suspension section.
