Wink One Bad 84

It's been a while guys. I've been busy with work and I kinda put my old truck on the back burner. Needless to say I sold the last project and got a new one last night that is 95% complete. Drove to arkansas to pick her up last night. I love it. It's an 84 with a fuel injected 350. Posi-Trac rear end, new paint. 20" eagle alloy 225s, power windows and locks and all interior minus a dash pad! Only thing I want now is to lower it a bit like my last one....alright here's some pics! Enjoy ; )

Re: One Bad 84

I kinda like the stance of the truck as it is...I think I prefer it a little bit lower. Can anyone verify if this looks like it has been lowered already someway. Measurement on the front from the ground to the bottom of the fender is right under 30"s and the rear is at 31 1/2. Is this stock or a tad lowered already? Thanks

Good to see the build thread started! Lower it a little and it'll be perfect!

Re: One Bad 84

Man I know...I'm trying to decide how much and what the best way to do it would be...it looks like someone has lowered it a little? Maybe cut the spring , I looked under it today and it has stock spindles...so I'm not sure...I need to get my hands on a set and maybe a flip kit....you think it would be easy to make a flip kit?

Re: One Bad 84

Flip kits are easy to make especially if you have access to a metal break. If not, I'm sure a local welding shop or machine shop would do it pretty cheap. The U bolts are the expensive part of it. Here is a drawing I did in SolidWorks really quick for ya.

The truck really looks good! It's even cooler in person and the pink paint really grows on you. Get that thing lower man! haha

Re: One Bad 84

Got a question...I am lowering the back with a flip kit tomo... The back measures from ground to bottom of fender 31 1/2 inches and the front is right above 30" , is this truck lowered someway already? The back everything looks normal...there are 4 leafsand the overload so a total of five and front is stock spindles...next question. Is the back going to be lower with a flip kit the way it sits now? And if I bring the front down a bit it looks like the tires might hit? And I'm not even sure how wide the wheels are? The tires are 275 40 all the way around.....can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks

Re: One Bad 84

Got the flip kit on... There's about 2 in of clearance between the frame and axle. Now I need to handle the front...I'm wondering if I could cut like half a coil and get away with it for now till I can do it right...my problem is I think the wheels are 10 in wide all around and I'm concerned about rubbing , I do t know for sure though. here's some pics!
