Did the factory big block trucks 68-72 use a short or long waterpump?
I bought a factory 72 bb truck PS set-up, and need to know if I have to sell my long waterpump.

The waterpump is the easiest thing to find. If you're looking for stock short waterpump pulleys and brackets they can be a real b%tch to find and real pricey too. I went with brackets and pulleys from March...You can get it all from Summit.

I bought the complete big block everything from PICKMUP. Pulleys, brackets, motor mounts, p/s pump, brackets, reservoir, everything. I cried like a little girl when I payed for it, but it was all matched and perfect. Supply and demand brother.
Doing it right ain't cheap. Or, as I always say, buy the best and cry once.

I think I'm going to go with the Alan Grove steel brackets for the a/c and alternator - they spread the compressor and alternator out wide past the valvecovers like I want, and they're $160...a lot cheaper than the aluminum brackets. I haven't decided whether to go with steel or aluminum pulleys.
