Psi harness where to mount computer

Looking for pictures of how some of you mounted your computer. Its hard to find a plqce under the dash with the vintage air unit taking up almost all of the glove box space.i want it out of sight but accessible any input would be appreciated.

Re: Psi harness where to mount computer

It's a super crappy cell phone pic... but... anyway...

Clears the master cylinder, the washer bottle and the hood hinge... My brother's has been like this for over 2 years and hasn't had any issues.

Re: Psi harness where to mount computer

I put mine in the area where the glove box was located... and routed the harness through a hole in the fire-wall/trans-tunnel.

Mine is mounted on the inside of the left corner of the firewall behind the dashboard. The photos are before and after the finish. It's hidden from view by an A/C vent.

Re: Psi harness where to mount computer

I bolted mine to a piece of aluminum and used rubber spacers between the aluminum and firewall. I have the vintage air as well.

Re: Psi harness where to mount computer

Here is where I put mine. It's under the dash below the glove box. The heater tube clears the wire harness ok. The picture makes it look like its tight to the wires but that was before I wrapped the wires.

Right now they are laying on top of the computer secured by a zip tie. My plan is to fabricate a new shallow glove box insert to mount the fuse/relay panel, OBD II connector, and the control box for the electronic speedometer. Just need to get a day to work on it, when I get it done I will certainly post pics.

wow...you're not even trying...not sure why you'd need to access the pcm that easy?...but, whatever...I didn't want my engine bay looking like a bag of snakes...so the only wires you can see are the plug wires..

You wont see any of my wiring when its done. Im just looking for the best place to put it. Reason i want it accessible is im planning to do a cam swap later and dont want it mounted somewhere i cant get to it easily.
