I am new to the game of the engine swap, how many of these do I need to put a 292 into my 250 truck?

Just an FYI, I do not think the above pictured towers are for a 292 as listed. They look like the 2wd small block V-8 towers, we have a set of recently pulled 292 towers in the shop and can get a picture of them if needed. Mel

If you could post a pic that would be great. The mounts were marked 292 when I got them so i'm not sure.

Google the part # 3916784 and it comes back to Chevy 67-72 V-8 motor mounts 283 / 327 / 350 / 383 / 400

Here are what the C/10-20-30 292 I-6 mounts look like, since questions seem to pop up fairly regular on this subject I also dipped into the old parts book for a look and found that the one above pictured C/10-20-30 SB V-8 #783 tower does have a 292 application listed but it is for 68-72 D-D/20-30 series used as left hand engine mounting to frame, maybe that is where the confusion started.

Well then they must be for a v8. Makes me wonder how someone thought they were for a 292. I will change the thread.

Yes, I thought the same thng as mentioned up in post #5, I also listed a possible reason for the 292 vs ? confusion in above post #12. Mel
