New to the game

Hello... well sort of.
I have been a member for a little over a year now and live in NE Indiana. I bought my blazer about a year ago, and now ya'll have got be hooked. I am obsessed with these trucks.
So anyway I attached some pics of my obsession...she looks nice from the outside, but she is in need of some TLC on the underbody and in the engine compartment.

So...now I am ready to start digging into it and I need some

I just got some bed parts back from the powder coater (bed floor, roll bar, inner fenders). I am trying to decide whether to try to tackle this project or just take it to a body shop. I really just want to work on the engine.
Has anyone out there ever replaced the rear bed section?
How much of a job is it?
Any details or advice. (Keep in mind I am not a body guy)

Thanks
