Re: my new ride

runs good, had to rebuild the trans, drove it home about 40 miles
at about 35 mph. when i took the trans apart there was no clutch
material left on the disks for the final drive. the po. said that his kid
was doing neutral drops and wasted the trans. got it back together
and it drives nice.

Re: my new ride

That's a 50th annv truck... look at the gold dash pad.
I'll bet a kick in the nuts that if you look at the option sheet, you'll find 551 off white/gold ... and 627 parch Vynal (or cloth) trim

Re: my new ride

it doesnt have the option sheet, i was bummed out when i saw it wasnt there.
not a bad deal for 250.00.. the guy ran an ad for sale 500.00, when i went to
look at it, i played it cool and said i would get back to him on it. he then told
me that the local scrap yard said theyd give him 250.00 for it. he said if no
one bought it by that sunday he was going to scrap it. i then started to walk to
my truck and he said if i really wanted it he would let me have it for the 250.00
bucks. told him sold....
i couldnt walk away from that, could i

Nice job. I like the 50th anniversary ones. Clean it up, and let's see how it turns out. BTW, I would leave it that color if you repaint it.
