Finally after a year and a half

my truck will be ready this week. I bought it site unseen from an Idaho craigslist site. The guy claimed to be a body guy, and told me the only thing it needed was sanding and painting. I paid $2600 for the blazer and $1000 to have it shipped.

Needless to say when the truck arrived, it was nothing like the guy told me or the pictures suggested.

To make matters worse, i'm not mechanically inclined, so I would have to pay someone to do all the work. I was blessed to find a young guy named Billy Poston in Greenville, that was willing to take on my 'project'. He needed the money and I needed the work.

I will try to post some before and after pictures. Is there an easy way to post pics from my laptop?

gotcha.... so just get one of the round ones? What is your opinion in changing it to a fuel injected engine? Worth the money? Thanks!

Re: Finally after a year and a half

Wow! Love the wheels. If it's been a year and half, I'd just drive it with the carb'd motor and not worry about the EFI, and maybe next year do the swap.

What a transformation. The guy who sold it to you should get beat for lying though.
You made the right decision on going silver. Black is really beutiful, but it gets real dirty real fast and it gets HOT real quick.

What are your plans for the other set of wheels/tires? They looked great as well.

Re: Finally after a year and a half

Blazer is looking great! Gotta agree, enjoy the truck and later worry about the motor. EFI will give you better starts, a bit better fuel economy and possibly a bit better power, but if your happy with the current motor, no reason to make that jump to EFI immediately.

Re: Finally after a year and a half

Thanks for you guys advice. I've been lurking awhile. This board is a great asset for guys like me.

My engine runs strong, so I will take you guys advice and just enjoy the truck when I FINALLY get it. I always joke and say my truck is kinda like a foster child. It goes from one home(repair shop) to another.lol
