WTB 81 - 87 rust free swb wide box or rust free bedsides

ISO complete rust free short wide bed for my 84 swb or rust free bedsides. Open to panels requiring minimal repairs as long as the panels haven't been repaired previously.

Have you looked into the newer stamped bedsides that are offered? I recently bought a set and the gauge of metal used was definitely thicker than I had once bought.

Re: WTB 81 - 87 rust free swb wide box or rust free bedsides

I have thought about but would like to keep all GM parts on the truck. I've attempted to use an aftermarket bedside on another truck I built a few years back but it didn't fit and I wasn't satisfied. I do appreciate the thought......

Partzpal,

I’ve been in your area for a few days (currently in Lawrenceburg) and there doesn’t seem to be the square bodies here like there used to be. I’ve been coming to this area for over 25 years. Probably like around home (SW MS) and they are getting totally worn out or scrapped.

You’re correct there aren’t many sitting around or on the road for that matter in this area anymore.

I may have a good driver’s, give me a few days as it will be at my other property. I should be back up before Thanksgiving but for sure before Christmas and will ask around down here in case I don’t have one

I got them through classic parts. They were cheaper than lmc. LMC has TriPlus sides and were thick like these as well, just higher price. I am about an hour and a half from both, and I could save from shipping. I also like walking around the showroom at Classic Parts. Before these sides, I had a pair of LMC’s bedsides before the retool. They were a lot thinner. Probably a 20-24 gauge thickness. The new ones have more of an OEM feel.
