Question Blower Just Quit

Got into my 05 Sierra SLE this morning and turned on the blower to get some ventilation. Nothing. Totally dead.

Checked the fuse and its good. Anything else I can check before I tear apart the dash to replace the switch?

Check the resistor and the pigtail for the resistor. It's a very common problem. They overheat and the connector melts.

Re: Blower Just Quit

I'll check it, but the GM guru at the dealership said that trucks with my vin number didn't have that problem.

tap on the motor and see if it will start to run.if it starts it will need a new blower motor.check for power at the motor-and like was mentioned before check for burnt connector at resistor

Re: Blower Just Quit

Does it have automatic climate control? The resistor module can go bad. Get a test light or a meter and check for power and ground at the electrical connector at the blower motor.
