fuel economy 292 w/a 4spd?

Can anyone tell me their mpg for this set up?

I don't have the 4 speed but I do have the 292. It has never been very good on gas. It does about 14 mpg and I'm talking Imperial gallon so if you are in the USA deduct about 20% from that number. I'll be interseted to see who else responds. I have often wondered how much it might improve if I got rid of the powerglide and swapped in a newer automatic or a manual of some sort.
