Hazard flasher switch
Mine has broken off.
Do I order a new switch knob (LMC $4), or do I have to get a complete switch?! Truck is a '70 w/o tilt (if it makes a difference. Thanks all

I have always just replaced the whole switch. I have not tried replacing just the red button and I did not know they were available.

Ok, where in the world are you getting a switch from? I can't find one anywhere (catalogs/parts store).

some of these older switches you cannot replace just the 4 way switch you have to replace the hole thing. I got mine from autozone and they had to order it. I'd order it from LMC cause if you go to the store and buy it the newer plugs don't match the old horseshoe type. You'll need an adapter and the only place i found one is lmc and they don't sell the adapter seperately. so you might as well buy the switch from them in the first place

sorry to hijack the thread, but what is the correct shape of the hazard pull thing? I have a '72 non tilt and mine is a simple red piece that you push in (on) and pull out (off). I have seen them with round button types. Which is the right one??
thanks

When I said "whole switch" I meant the whole turn signal switch.
I got the last one that I needed from Tim Christian but I am sure others have them. Jim |

Speaking of these red Hazard buttons, does anyone know how to get these turn signal switches (the whole unit) off without breaking the hazard button? I don't want to break mine, but I can't get any further into my steering wheel without removing it.
