Inner Fender Retainer?

Where can I find this?? I need like 2 sets. I dug thru the threads cause I'm sure I remember seeing it. Are They reproduced? I tried GM but I don't think the guy knew what I was talking about. Does anyone have the GM part Number?

That is part of the inner fender. It isn't a seperate part.

Re: Inner Fender Retainer?

Yup, you get them by buying a wheel house.

Are they spot welded to the inner fender?

Re: Inner Fender Retainer?

Correct, they are made on, like a reinforcement plate, should be several areas like that on the wheel house.

Re: Inner Fender Retainer?

I'VE MADE A COUPLE OF SETS OUT OF 16 GAUGE. THEY ALWAYS ROT OUT RIGHT THERE. THE CHINEEZ REPOPS I BOUGHT DIDN'T EVEN HAVE ANY. MY TRUCK IS A DIESEL WITH 2 70LBS. BATTERYS ON THE RIGHT INNER FENDER. THE DIESEL TRUCKS & BLAZERS CAME WITH SEVERAL REINFORCMENTS ON THE RIGHT INNER & THEY WEREN'T EVEN ON THE NOS SET I JUST PUT IN. I HAD TO MAKE THOSE ALSO. GOOD NEWS IS.. THEY ARE A WHOLE LOT BEEFIER THAN WHEN THEY CAME FROM THE FACTORY. I PAINTED THE TOP SIDE WITH RUSTOLIUM & SPRAYED ABOUT 2/3 OF A QUART OF UNDERCOATING ON THE BOTTM SIDE & WHERE THEY BOLT TO THE RADIATOR SUPPORT. THEY ARE SPOT WELDED ON & AN AIR CHISEL GETS EM RIGHT OFF. JOHN

I just covered it up (mounted the new one over the top of the old one).
