new license plates

I put them on today and apparently if I get pulled over for them I have the right paperwork and my current tag in the glovebox.

Re: new license plates

Do you have current MO or NC tags in the truck?

Re: new license plates

I thought the same thing. They let you run a Missouri plate in North Carolina?

You should check with MO DMV. In OK you can do that but you have to register them as a personal plate first - and only an OK plate at that.

Re: new license plates

I did check with both states, as I still have a mo drivers license for a few more months. And then as soon as the wife gets out of the military we are going back to mo. Is was a bit of a hassle, but I got the nc plate and the paperwork in the glovebox

Re: new license plates

If you have a NC plate you are good, if it were a MO plate then you would need to conform with MO laws on the subject.

The NC law does not specify that it has to be a NC plate, just a plate from the year of original manufacture...of course it doesn't say it CAN be from any state either...but I think you will be ok.
