Party pulley
I'm having Gaerte Racing Engines building me a I6 292 with 4-71 blower and 3 Rochester 2 barrel carbs. I think the plan is about 5 pounds boost and pump gas for street manors. If I go play at the local drag strip and put a party pulley on the blower can I switch over to a separate fuel system with racing fuel so I don't detonate this very expensive engine? This engine cost more than my first house. This goes in my 53 1/2 ton pickup. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you.

Re: Party pulley
They just got the block and head back from the painter. Global firethorn red pearl to match the body. Fenders will be black pearl.

Re: Party pulley
Any thoughts about just running E85? Then you don’t have to worry about it. I think you can go up to 14:1.
So pending on your static compression and boost PSI you would be fine up to 10-12lbs of boost. There is a chart on line that will tell you all that. Good luck.

Re: Party pulley
Look in to a boost timing master, they’re old school tech, retards timing based on boost level. I’ll try and find a pic. For instance at cruise I am at 36* but at boost (10#) it pulls 1* of timing per #. I run 91 octane. Most days.
