Big hump little hump question

I have a 69 truck with a little hump with a 3 speed manual. I also have a parts truck with a big hump, th400 and a 396. Question: will the trans and 396 fit the little hump truck?

Re: Big hump little hump question

I dont think it will. However, converting the small hump floor by using the large hump (bolt in), takes an hour or two depending on the tools you have. It's fairly common conversion.

Re: Big hump little hump question

I've heard of lots of folks on here that have done big blocks with T400 and used little humps. I like the high humps myself. One of my three already had it being it was a 396 T400 truck and the other two I already have a high hump for each of them again just cause I like the look.

Yes, as long as the body mounts are not the original you can get your hand around the top of the 400. It's not that tight.

Re: Big hump little hump question

Thanks for the info... However does one of you have a BB in a small hump cab? I only ask that because I plan on pulling the 396 and start the overhaul yet I have an option to trade for a SB already overhauled. I am stuck until I know for sure.
