6 lug ECE disc brake stuff FS in DFW area

I have some Early Classic disc brake stuff for sale in DFW area.
  • 1 pair of ECE 6 lug disc brake rotors. Installed onto the truck, but never left the driveway. Used to pull the truck in and out of the shop about 5 times. No problems with them, I just decided to go 5 lug. New, these things are expensive through ECE, like 180 a pair. I'll take 120 for the pair, local pick up only. I don't want to package and ship them, they are heavy.
  • 1 pair of ECE front disc conversion hoses. These are the hoses ECE sells to convert a drum brake truck to disc brakes. With these hoses, you don't need adapters or new brake lines. Simply screw them into the factory drum brake steel lines and connect them to the disc brake calipers. They are 50 per pair new, I'll take 30 bucks for the pair. Same deal as the rotors, never gone outside of my shop or driveway. They are as new

If someone wants, I can do a package deal with a pair of 72 disc brake spindles, center link, tie rods with ends, wheel bearings, calipers, pads, the rotors and brake hoses for 250 bucks. If you bought that, you'd need to put 71-72 ball joints in your arms and you'd have a nice 6 lug disc brake setup for about 350 bucks total with the new ball joints. That's cheap for a 6 lug disc setup.

DFW guys, you know where I'm at. Let's deal, maybe trade, try me. I'm also looking for a decent drill press. No Chinese junk, the older the better. I'm not afraid of old greasy machinery that needs TLC.

Respond here please. PM's can get messy as to who responded first and such.

I'll take the hoses if the answer is yes to the next questions.

If I bought these could I use them with my 71-72 calipers??

Will my 1969 brake lines (metal) work on my 72 front crossmember?

fit your calipers- yes

early lines fit your 72 crossmember- no

The 72 crossmember has the brake hose tabs on the front of the crossmember. The drum brake lines go to the rear of the crossmember. The tabs for the lines aren't compatible.

You need a set of 72 hoses for your crossmember.

If I can make this work on my 68 I might be interested but it might be a while before I can make the ride up to DFW.

Can I use these parts on my 69 C10, with the stock crossmember. I was going to change over to a 73 crossmember but this sounds a lot easier. I am about 3 1/2 to 4 hours east of you dependind on the traffic after the 80/20 split. I used to make this ride every weekend round trip and sometimes daily.

Yes.

If you buy the whole setup, you'd need to change your upper and lower ball joints to 71-72 units. Then, the spindles would bolt on and no mods would be required. The brake hoses will then hook up directly to your existing brake lines on the crossmember. I'm including the 72 model steering linkage in the package deal. You'd just replace your tie rods and center link with them.

I am going to have to pass on this one, it is a good deal, but after some thought and wheel searching I think 5 bolt will be best for me also.
